I was a stranger so far from God
down sin's wicked path for so long I had trod
my friends all told me but I wouldn't believe
for Jesus the savior meant nothing to me
And I heard a voice and it came from on high
my knees began to tremble, I thought I would die
no safety no refuge in this world could I see
then a voice said that Jesus alone could save me -
My burdens all lifted when I called on His name
my fears all vanished and in fullness I came
to drink from the fountain for it's so rich and free
I thank God for Jesus in his prayers he saved me
And I heard a voice and it came from on high
