View Larger Map Main Salem Fire Station		The Salem Fire Station located on Salem Road between Gregory Road and Hart Road would have been inside the Benton city limits if the annexation proposal had passed. It would have continued to serve remaining Salem Community residents until the city annexed them too.
View Larger Map Proposed Benton fire station		In the notice of proposed annexation, Benton said that they planned to build a fire station near Gregory and Scott Salem Road. Since this location will probably not be annexed right away, the alternate location would make more sense.
View Larger Map Alternate proposed location for Benton fire station		Salem Road and Rolla Road area is an alternate location for a new fire station. It is already in the city limits, so it is the logical place for a new fire station.

Nobody seems to know where the money is going to come from to build and staff these additional facilities. The cost is not even known. If Benton is having so much trouble staffing their fire and police departments now, how in the world are they going to be able to serve this additional large area?
